"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

One tip is maybe to start off exploring with a wide-angle lens. It gives you the ability to capture a lot of stuff in any given frame and also gives you a bunch of wiggle room in terms of perspective and juxtaposition?
Also, check out The Fundamentals of Photography by Tom Ang. It's a real handy reference book type thing that I'll be using pretty heavily in the next couple of months.
